Thermal and Surface Radiosity Analysis of an Underfloor Heating System in a Bioclimatic Habitat

This paper addresses the modeling of convective and radiative heat transfer to achieve an acceptable level indoor temperature. The results presented were obtained in a pilot project which energy-efficient house was built on site located west Algiers. main objective perform numerical simulation investigate how temperature heat-transfer fluid circulating floor heating system affected air also surface radiosity profile air. study employed finite element method integrated into Comsol Multiphysics software. model validated using experimental data reported literature for pilothouse at same meteorological conditions. An error about 2.32% apparent between theoretical results. Results showed that increase from 30 50 °C produced 15.1 taken cm height inside room. remained stable, with insignificant variation after 72 h heating. Surface increased as function time reached almost constant value 380 W·m−2 because stability by convection.
